A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks.

A router maintains a routing table that lists which route should be used to forward a data packet, and through which physical interface connection.!

1. Turn off WPS button:-

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a feature supplied with many routers.

WPS works as a Hardware Login Feature

It can be helpful for easy connection without typing password

2. Change Default Username and Password in Router

List Default username and passwords

3. Hide SSID (Wi-Fi name)Wi-Fi :-

An SSID is a name assigned to a wireless router.

Hiding the SSID an effective way to secure your network (along with requiring a password) since this prevents your network from showing up in the list of available Wi-Fi networks when people scan for nearby Wi-Fi connections.

4.Limit Wi-Fi Range of Signal by Blocking Signal direction :-

5.MAC address filtering :-

Mac Address Filtering Can be use to Verify the Authorized Hardware Devices .

It can prevent new devices to connect with router network

6.Enable Log Monitoring

Logging will recorded the activity of wireless access point.

Logs can be recoded and stored.

It can be helpful for performing security audits.
